The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
- Assist with meal preparations
- Clean and Sanitize all equipment and utensils after each use
- Control portioning of food
- Complete production sheets
- Help prepare and/or work at catered events
- Wash dishes, pots and pans, and all small wares
- Bus and wipe off tables and dining room as needed
- Sweep and mop all floors as needed or as scheduled
- Return clean dishes and pans to their proper places
- Keep dish machine area clean and sanitized
- Put away stock as assigned
- Take out trash as needed or assigned
- If the unit uses cash register in daily operations:
i. Ring up all transactions on cash register
ii. Control Punch-a-Lunch cards (additions to cards/deductions from cards/processing meal charges
iii. Receive cash from customer and count back correct change
iv.Give each customer excellent service
v. Successfully handle each customer’s questions and complaints
vi. Speak directly with the customer so as to understand that person and be understood
vii. Satisfy each customer – smile and be friendly
viii. Stock and re-stock self serve items as assigned
ix. Charge customers correct prices
x. Keep cash drawer stocked with extra coins as needed
